Introduction

This Privacy Policy outlines the information Sunnywood, Inc. (“Sunnywood”, “our”, “us”, or “we”), may collect and how we may use and share that information. Generally, you may browse our website without providing any Personally Identifiable Information. However, to improve your browsing experience and to perform service at your request, Sunnywood and its websites may require the collection of certain information on visitors browsing activities, or when visitors request information from us. Sunnywood’s priority is your privacy and online security, therefore we only collect data when it is needed to provide services, products, and online resource to you.

We handle this information in the following way:

The personal information you enter online or send us by phone or paper, including but not limited to your IP address, first name, last name, e-mail address, street address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, fax number, credit card number or other financial information, will be used only when necessary to provide the services and/or products that you requested, or when it is required for legal compliance or other lawful purposes, or for which we have been given permissions. Upon collection, this information is used for the purposes of, but not limited to, processing your order, updating your order, fulfilling or responding to your information requests (i.e. catalogues and/or mailing list etc), or to contact you when needed during the processing of services requested, provide communications with you, identify fraud and abuse and security issues, processing applications, tailor and personalize services and products for you. Our database server also collect anonymous information such as website usage information and IP addresses automatically. This information is used solely for the purposes of improving our site design, planning our product assortments, providing better customer service, and introducing special promotions.

If necessary, this information may be passed to third parties we use (i.e. payment processors, order fulfillment house, or database/e-mail maintenance and administration agents etc). Information may also be disclosed to government law agencies if required by law, or if we deem it necessary to do in order to protect the public and to prevent illegal or unethical activities. Sunnywood will not share, sell or lease information about you to any non-related third parties.

Online Account Registration

You may need to register with our website in order to access certain areas on our websites or to receive certain services and/or products that you request. The Registration process may require the setup of a user name, e-mail address or password. This is for additional security measures that protect your information. Please note that we strongly encourage you to LOG OUT at the conclusion of your session for your protection, especially when you are using a public computer. This will prevent someone else from accessing your personal information from that computer.

Parties Outside of United States

If you interact or communicate with us from outside of United States, information about you is crossing international borders. In such cases, the data on you will be handled per the terms and conditions stated in this policy.

Users Age Restriction

Our websites are general audience sites, and Sunnywood has no intention of collecting or maintaining any personal information from those we actually know are under 18. No parts of our websites are targeted to anyone under 18. Sunnywood urges all parents and guardians to supervise their children at all times, and use web filtering technology to control children’s access to the Internet.

Data Retention

We may retain your Personal Identifiable Information for as long as necessary to permit us to use it for the purposes that we have communicated to you, as long as your account remains active, and as indicated in this Privacy Policy.

We may continue to retain such Personally Identifiable Information after you ceased to use our services and/or deactivated your account, as reasonably necessary, in order to comply with applicable law or regulations, to prevent fraud and abuse, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements and/or protect our legitimate interests. Such information will be securely deleted when they are no longer required.

Security

Your personal information is maintained with commercially reasonable standards of information security. The information is stored on servers with firewall protection, and Secure Socket Layering (“SSL”) transmission is used to encrypt the sensitive information you. SSL is encryption technology that provides security while information is being transmitted over the Internet.

We also take physical and administrative steps to handle the security of your personal information, including limiting the number of people who have physical access to our database servers. We restrict access to personal information to some third party companies such as financial institutions and/or transportation carriers who may need this information in order to perform services to you. These organizations and/or individuals are bound by legal obligations and may be subject to criminal prosecution and disciplinary actions if they fail to meet these obligations.

Please note that the messages sent through e-mail are not encrypted. Thus, we do not encourage our customer to send sensitive information through such means.

To abolish the risk of credit card information being compromised, Sunnywood chooses not to retain your credit card data on our online servers for our websites.

While we implement the above security measures, you should be aware that 100% security is not always guaranteed. Therefore Sunnywood does not guarantee or warrant the security of any information you provide through our online services or products.

This is the only authorized statement of our Privacy Policy, which outlines the information Sunnywood may collect and how we may use and share that information. We reserve our right to revise this Policy at any time as it deems necessary. Your use of our websites, products and services after such revisions or amendments being made shall constitute your acceptance of the Policy in its most update form. We encourage you to periodically review it to ensure that you are updated with the policy. The effective date will be noted at the beginning of the policy.

Your California and GDPR Privacy Rights

Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, and/or the European General Data Protection Rules (GDPR), California and European residents who have provided personal information (as defined in the California Civil Code statute and/or the GDPR) during the process of obtaining products or services for personal, family, or household use have the right to receive, once a year, a description of the categories of personal information we share, if any, with third parties, and a list of the third parties and affiliates with which it was shared, along with their names and addresses for the immediately prior calendar year. Canada Anti-Spam Law (CASL) and GDPR
